takakKaw Falls - Yoho national park
As a part of this group, you will have the opportunity to day hike and through hike in Yoho National Park. Day hiking will take place at the spectacular Lake O’hara. This is the site for which the entire trip is named. People come from all over the world to see this iconic lake and hike in the surrounding mountains. The through hiking portion of your trip will take place in the Takkakaw Falls area. You will be spending half of the trip in each hiking area.
Takakkaw Falls has 35 reservable sites available. The campground has flush toilets, potable water, warming huts and garbage/recycling receptacles.

There are a variety of backcountry sites available in Yoho National Park. Sites have tent pads, picnic tables, dry toilets and food storage cables or lockers.

For ALL campsites and hiking areas:
- Do not leave your ‘mark, even if others have’. Carving and jiffy marker evidence of you or your group will result in consequences.
- Be respectful representatives of our school, community and country
